2015 wild apple desk calendar
Wild Apple 2015 calendar is available in my online store. I used water color again but I took a different approach this time. I played around more with the colors and painting techniques. My favorite one I did was using salt to create beautiful textures on the paint. I enjoyed creating the calendars A LOT!! Please check it out my etsy shop:)

AE86
I made a drift car which is from Japanese anime Initial D for my son out of a pampers box. I'm not so into this kind of car but my husband is. He seems to enjoy driving around the house with it. My husband made a short video. Excuse our messy house lol

Baby quilt
Finally the baby quilt that I was working on is done. It took a while for the hand quilting part because I was stitching during my son's nap time. After all this hard work, I realized how small it was.... Well, my son seems to like it anyway. I really respect people who make those huge quilt blankets!!

Hometown
I'm back in San Francisco! I was in Iwate, Japan for one month to spend time with my family. It has been 3years since I was last there and I had an amazing time:) Now, I'm fighting with heavy jet lag while taking care of my son :(
The photos below were taken in my hometown. Beautiful rice field sceneries. It was such an ordinary scenery to me when I was a kid but now I appreciate the beauty of it.

DIY projects
I was planning to do a bunch of DIY projects before my son was born. but I wasn't able to do much. The excuse is that I was busy doing other things or I wasn't feeling so great with my big tummy. Then my son was born. Of course I didn't have time, even less than before! But I barely made a topponcino with my textile: make a wish/ lavender before he was born. I loved it but I was using it almost everyday which made it so flat and not puffy anymore. It's almost out of his size already:( Another DIY project I did for him was his tiny reversible hat. My family got invited to our friend's daughter's birthday party which was at a park so we definitely needed his hat. We couldn’t find any hats at stores because his head was too small. So I decided to shrink a baby hat pattern to 70% and sewed it real fast while my husband was taking care of him. The hat was still too loose at the party which fits perfectly now. I want to find some more time for my DIY projects! I wish I had one more set of hand lol

Welcome!
We became a family of four this March. After the New Year, I was enjoying the rest of my maternity life and also did some sewing projects for my unborn baby. Then my son was born :) It had been crazy everyday till my body healed. But now, I enjoy every single moment taking care of my son. I can't wait to use some of the store items for him!
